UHF RFID in Chandigarh
The Chandigarh Tricity of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, along with the nearby pharma hub of Baddi, has a strong mix of IT, manufacturing and healthcare. UHF RFID readers give these sites fast, touchless vehicle entry with accurate logs.
TimeWatch supplies UHF RFID readers in Chandigarh that read vehicle tags from 5 to 30 metres, so boom barriers open automatically for approved cars and trucks. The range runs from the TW-UR6 for single lane gates to the TW-UR710 for tolling, ports and logistics yards. Readers connect over Wiegand, RS232, RS485 or TCP/IP and are supported from TimeWatch's New Delhi headquarters.
These are the parts of Chandigarh with the most demand for long range RFID gates, and the traffic each one handles.
Engineering, printing and light manufacturing
IT companies and industrial units
Industrial estate and government offices
Pharma manufacturing cluster serving all of India
Warehousing and manufacturing on the highway
Large healthcare sites with heavy staff and visitor traffic
Baddi units restrict entry to registered vehicles and record each visit for compliance.
Mohali offices give employees tagged parking access.
Zirakpur and Derabassi sites record truck arrivals automatically at the yard gate.
Pick the reader by gate width, traffic volume and how the data needs to reach your software.
| Model | Read range | RF power | Interfaces | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TW-UR6 / UR6T | Up to 5 m | Up to 26 dBm | Wiegand, RS232 (RS485 optional, TCP/IP on UR6T) | IP65 outdoor reader for single lane gates, societies and door access |
| TW-UR6000 / 6000T | Up to 5 m | Up to 30 dBm | RS232, Wiegand (TCP/IP optional) | All in one reader for parking, short range gates and asset points |
| TW-UR12 / 12T | Up to 12 m | Up to 26 dBm | Wiegand, RS232 (RS485 optional) | IP68 reader for wider gates and campus entries |
| TW-UR8000 | Up to 16 m | Up to 33 dBm | RS232, Wiegand (TCP/IP optional) | Extended range for multi lane gates and factory truck entries |
| TW-UR710 | Up to 30 m | Up to 33 dBm | RS232, RS485, Wiegand, TCP/IP (Wi-Fi, BT, USB, 4G optional) | Longest range, approx 950 tags per second for tolling, ports and logistics yards |

The TW-UR710 reads tags from up to 30 metres and captures approx 950 tags per second, with a built in circular polarized antenna and up to 33 dBm adjustable output. It connects over RS232, RS485, Wiegand and TCP/IP, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and 4G as options, so it fits tolling lanes, port gates, logistics yards and busy parking entries.
Readers can run alongside an ANPR camera for dual verification, and with boom barriers, bollards or flap gates for complete entry control.

For a single lane gate up to 5 metres wide the TW-UR6 or TW-UR6000 is enough. For wider or multi lane truck gates choose the TW-UR8000, which reads up to 16 m. For yards, ports or toll style lanes choose the TW-UR710, which reads up to 30 m and approx 950 tags per second.
Demand is strongest in Industrial Area Phase 1 and 2, Mohali IT City and Phase 8B, Panchkula, Baddi, where sites need fast, logged entry for staff vehicles and trucks.
TimeWatch readers cover up to 5 m (TW-UR6, TW-UR6000), 12 m (TW-UR12), 16 m (TW-UR8000) and 30 m (TW-UR710). Actual range depends on the tag, mounting position and site conditions.
UHF RFID in India uses the 865 to 867 MHz band. TimeWatch readers read EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO 18000-6C) tags, and selected models also support 902 to 928 MHz for export projects.
Yes. The reader outputs the tag ID over Wiegand, RS232, RS485 or TCP/IP depending on the model, so it connects to standard access controllers, boom barrier controllers and parking or yard software.
UHF RFID reads a tag fixed to the vehicle and works in rain, dust and low light. ANPR reads the number plate with a camera and needs no tag. Many sites use both together for dual verification.
Cost depends on read range, number of lanes, tag type and whether you need barriers and software. Share your gate details and our team will send a quotation for your site.
Tell us the number of gates, lane width and vehicle volume. We will recommend the reader and tags and send a quotation.
